Drop-In Lead
I struggled with postnatal depression after the birth of my eldest and anxiety around the birth of my youngest. When I found myself at Shine, listening to other mums talking about their struggles, I suddenly didn't feel alone or broken anymore. Everyone had told me how amazing having a baby was. But no one really talked about the harder feelings; the tiredness, the mum-guilt, the feeling of losing your previous life. Shine allowed us all to be honest and to heal together, alongside other mums on the same journey; acknowledging the changes and our new feelings, and finding ourselves again.

Play Facilitator
I’m a mum who is a passionate play worker, and I love bringing joy and creativity to children. With experience as a teaching assistant, I also work in a primary school. My background in floristry, and I am also a watercolour artist, which enhances my ability to believe in the power of creative play in early childhood education. I'm so pleased to be supporting women experiencing postnatal depression, after my own experiences.
