Katie lives in Swindon with her husband, 16 year old daughter, three dogs and one cat. “I have been part of the Shine creche team since 2019 and absolutely love my job. When I became pregnant with our daughter Molly, I suffered severely with psychosis, OCD and anxiety. Getting to work at Shine I really feel like I can give something back to a fantastic charity. I love being able to help the mums by looking after their little ones while they receive some much needed time and support in such a caring and nurturing environment.”

Sue has been working with Shine since September 2018. She has a background in education as a special needs teacher. “In 2000, my husband and I adopted five children ( 9, 6,5,3 and 18months), then four years later a baby of six months. Our life has been amazing, crazy and at times very challenging, but rewarding in so many ways. I feel privileged to look after the Shine babies and really enjoy meeting and getting to know all the fantastic mums.”

Val is a qualified nursery nurse, married with three grown-up, independent children. “I have many years experience of working with children ranging from hospital work in both maternity and children’s wards and more than 20 years in a pre-school setting. I absolutely love working for Shine at both the Crèche and the drop-in sessions in Cirencester, helping out with the little ones and supporting the mums.”
